The ugly cry that leaves tear stains and an engrained memory that remains

The pain and suffering of our own anguishes, reckoning of our internal battles, and ancestral energy that has been passed down

A taste of bitter coffee that screams wake me up but fails to

A transition of fear, loss, change, and death to more uncertainty behind screens of icons upon icons

A gradual ebb and flow of giant powerful waves that come and go as they please

To slivers of hope, rebirth and pivotal moments; the ones that begin to feel like everything is normal and we will be ok

To reintegrated with a tinge of doubt socializing our skills, bc as humans we thrive and grow with each other

History gives us the reason to get up and not give up

History tells us that as a people we too can rise up
